I create original watercolour artworks in a modern urban sketch style, defined by expressive ink lines and loose, atmospheric washes. My subjects include landscapes, seascapes, towns, and street scenes, painted on location or from my own reference material.
Every artwork is entirely hand‑painted and personally signed J Blakely. Each subject is released as a single one‑off artwork in each size — one A4 and one A3 — along with a limited run of prints. This keeps every original truly exclusive while still allowing collectors to access the work.
Once an artwork is completed and its originals and prints are sold, that specific version will never be produced again.
However, I may revisit the same location in a different season, light, or atmosphere — creating a completely new interpretation rather than a repeat. Each version stands as its own unique piece, with its own mood, story, and identity.
